Generate a mind map from a topic, as editable shapes on your board
Describe a topic in the AI prompt and Planloom lays it out as a radial mind map made of native canvas shapes. You preview it, insert it where you are looking, edit it like any other board content, and undo it as a single step. When a branch becomes work, convert it into a linked task.
What you get
Editable, not an image
Every node is a real shape. Rename, restyle, rearrange and connect branches by hand.
Preview before it lands
See the generated map first and insert it only when it looks right. One undo removes it.
From branches to tasks
Turn the branches you agree on into linked tasks that stay visible on the board.
Only what you send
AI receives your prompt or selected text, never files or images.
How it works
- 1Open a canvas and choose the AI panel.
- 2Pick Mind map and describe the topic.
- 3Preview, insert, then edit the map or turn branches into tasks.
Questions
Is the mind map editable?
Yes. It is inserted as native shapes and connectors, so you can edit it like anything else on the canvas.
Can I generate a mind map without an account?
You can open a canvas without an account. AI usage depends on your plan; the pricing page lists current limits.
Can the map become a task list?
Yes. Select the branches you want and convert them into tasks that stay linked to their notes.
