Plan GitHub projects visually, then keep the plan connected to what ships

Draw the plan first: features, dependencies and milestones on an infinite canvas. Turn sticky notes into linked tasks, and place the GitHub pull requests that deliver them next to each part of the plan.

What you get

Plan before tickets

Sort out scope and order visually, then convert only the agreed notes to tasks.

Tasks stay linked

Every task keeps a link to the sticky or shape it came from, and shows live back on the canvas.

Delivery in view

Pull request cards sit beside the feature they implement, so progress is visible without a status meeting.

MCP for coding agents

Your own AI assistant can read the board as an ordered plan through Planloom’s MCP server and update tasks.

How it works

  1. 1Lay out the plan with frames, stickies and arrows.
  2. 2Select the agreed stickies and turn them into tasks.
  3. 3Add GitHub pull request cards next to the work and track both on one board.

Questions

Does this replace GitHub Projects or Issues?

No. Planloom is where you think and plan visually; GitHub stays where the code lives. The canvas keeps the two connected.

Can I generate a board from a repository automatically?

For pull requests, yes: build a review-queue board from a repository’s open pull requests in one step. Generating a full architecture or roadmap board from a repo is not available yet.
